FANS have been praised after one of Hartlepool United's biggest matches of the season passed trouble free.
Police say only one fan was arrested for a minor public order offence after Pools' game against Leeds on Saturday.
There was a heavy police presence around Pools' Victoria Park ground after last season's match saw five people arrested following a skirmish in the Mill House stand.
PC Mick Hume, Hartlepool Police's football intelligence officer, said: "I would like to praise the fans for their behaviour and the club for their work."
