A PART-TIME psychic who walked away from an horrific smash is going full-time and staging his first show in Hartlepool.
Dave Williams is holding a night of clairvoyancy at the Town Hall Theatre.

The medium, who has worked with town paranormal investigators Old Haunts, is being joined by Surrey-based psychic Val Hood on a tour of the North of England.

Dave, 49, who has been involved in the paranormal for 24 years, was involved in a car accident not far from him home in Oldbury, in the West Midlands, when a car crashed into his stationary vehicle at 50mph.

Miraculously, he walked away with just a shoulder injury, but he had to leave his job as a production manager.

Now, he is concentrating on medium work full time.

He has chosen Hartlepool as the first venue on the tour after visiting the town about 40 times in the past four years to take part in ghost walks with local medium Ralph Keeton and to conduct other paranormal investigations.

"The first show that we decided to do will be in Hartlepool," said Dave. "After being in a nine-to-five job for 20-odd years I was involved in a car crash. Both cars were written off and my shoulder still has to be rebuilt.

"Now I am doing more clairvoyant work and this is a big, big thing for me.

"I do feel that I had to have a crash for the spirits to point me in this direction."

David, a father of three, came in the top 16 of mediums in the Spiritual Connextions X-Factor-style awards.

He added: "We both work in a very light-hearted manner. We are not going to make it a sombre night, but we do take what we do very seriously at the same time.

"We also intend to make it pretty quick-fire.

"We will keep messages, short, accurate, precise and meaningful and hope to channel for 20 to 30 people in the show."

The show will take place from 7.30pm on Thursday, November 6.

Tickets cost £10 and £9 for concessions, or £8 for a reduced view.
