AN evening of clairvoyance has helped raise £600 for a charity that provides free holidays for children suffering from life-threatening illnesses.
Hartlepool-based clairvoyant Peter Crawford and Irene Wilson, from Horden, took to the stage at the fundraiser.
All the money raised from the evening, at Thornley Working Men's Club, has been donated to Donna's Dream House, in Blackpool.
Mr Crawford, 38, who lives in the West Park area of Hartlepool, said: "It was a real privilege to raise money for that particular charity.
"The thought of seeing the smiles on the faces of those children suffering from life-threatening illnesses was what made me do it.
"We picked a number of people out of the audience and gave them whatever messages we were picking up. It was great and everybody seemed to have a good time."
The dad of two, who has been a professional psychic medium for 15 years, has raised thousands of pounds for charities over the years.
More than 100 people, who each paid £5, packed into the club and there was also a raffle to boost the final amount.
Organiser Christine Routledge works as a receptionist for the Co-operative Funeralcare, in Gilesgate, Durham.
Each year the funeral service asks its staff to raise money for good causes and the 57-year-old, who lives in Ludworth, opted for the evening of clairvoyance in aid of Donna's Dream House.
Christine said: "I was doing some research on the internet and came across the charity and it really struck a chord with me.
"I asked if I could support them and my bosses said yes, which was fantastic and we managed to raise a good amount of money.
"I would like to thank all the family, friends and work colleagues who supported the night and the charity.
"I'd also like to thank Peter and Irene who gave their services free and the club who also gave us the building free."
