DRIVERS face disruption with numerous roadworks due to take place.

Temporary signals will be in place on the A178 Seaton Carew Road in Hartlepool.

Because of ongoing works to the access road for the Saltholme Wild Bird Park, south of Billingham Fire Station, temporary signals are still in operation during between 9.15am until 3.30pm and are expected to be in place until the middle of June.

Work will also be ongoing at the A689 Wolviston Road roundabout. New paving is being installed at the roundabout, and outside lane closures on the roundabout and inside lane closures on all approach roads are required during off-peak hours over the weekend. In Billingham, temporary traffic signals are required on Mill Lane because of Northumbrian Water flooding alleviation scheme works.

The signals will be outside 11 to 25 Mill Lane from Monday until Tuesday June 3.

As a result of sewer works being undertaken by Northumbrian Water, a temporary road closure of Grange Avenue and Windermere Avenue in Billingham is required from Tuesday for six weeks.

A diversion route will be signed for diverted traffic via Ambleside Road and Rydal Avenue. Access for pedestrians will be maintained.
