SANTA Claus is coming to town!

The main man is due to arrive at the Middleton Grange Shopping Centre, in Hartlepool, at 12pm on Sunday.

Santa will arrive at the grotto to meet and greet waiting shoppers, and a busy morning of events will take place ahead of the big arrival.

The fun starts at 11am, with dance displays from the Val Armstrong School of Performing Arts to entertain the crowd.

Santa's grotto will be open daily from 10.30am-4.30pm, and everyone who posts a letter in the special postbox will receive a personal reply from Santa.

Centre boss Mark Rycraft said: "Our grotto has become an integral part of local Christmas celebrations so we try to make it more interesting and more special every year.

"Santa's arrival this year is no exception so come along to the centre and get into the Christmas spirit this Sunday."
