A CANINE lover couldn't believe his eyes when he tucked into a restaurant meal – and found a chicken nugget resembling a dog.
Roy Sanders was enjoying a romantic evening with his wife, Julie, 48, at the Chinese Buffet, in Park Road, Hartlepool, when he picked the tasty treat from the buffet.

The Hartlepool factory worker said: "The kids were badgering me to come to the Mail because they were convinced that it looked like a dog. I think it looks like a fat St Bernard dog personally. I have never seen anything like this before."

Roy and Julie, who works as a nurse, have five children with three of them adults. Mark and Matthew are his youngest children and the pair are students at High Tunstall Secondary School.

Roy and Julie often go to the Chinese Buffet and but Roy never normally has chicken nuggets.

He said "I won't be picking them again in case the dog bites me."

The couple have kept dogs for over 25 years and currently have a Mastiff, a Boxer and a West Highland White Terrier.
