HARTLEPOOL's all-weather lifeboat was launched to help a stricken yacht 12 miles off the coast.
The 36ft-long vessel with two people on board suffered mechanical failure at around 4pm yesterday while travelling from Scarborough to Blyth.

It was towed back safely to Hartlepool.
