THERE are plenty of volunteer vacancies on offer for people wanting to make a difference in the Hartlepool community.

These are the latest posts available from the Volunteer Centre, Hartlepool Voluntary Development Agency (HVDA), for people willing to take on a charity job

l Why not work alongside one of the world’s most established and internationally-recognised Emergency and Conflict Response Teams to help save lives. The role will involve organising fundraising events and activities during periods of major devastation, following emergency alerts from the Emergency Response Team.

l A North-East charity wants volunteers to provide high-quality supported holidays for adults, which are specially designed and staffed to cater for anyone who needs support to travel. You could be volunteering anywhere in the UK or abroad.

l You could be helping a local cause with an allotment project. You will have a general interest of gardening and be able to offer advice on what plants to grow and when to plant.

l A local organisation that supports disabled and able-bodied children aged between 5-16 years old are looking for volunteer cooks to assist with a healthy lifestyle project. This role involves teaching and supporting the children to cook healthy meals and snacks.

l Volunteers are needed to help with youth groups. The group works with disabled and able-bodied children aged between 5-16 years old and provides a variety of activities for them to be involved in.

l An event fundraiser is needed to help on an ad hoc basis at local and regional events. It could be anything from selling raffle tickets to cheering on event participants.
