A POPULAR trampoline club has been given a new lease of life.
Aeronauts, formerly known as Hartlepool Trampoline Club, has had a face lift with members now proudly wearing new training and competition equipment.
The club meets at English Martyrs School and Sixth Form College, in Catcote Road, and new members are always welcome to go along.
The classes are run by trampoline coach Linsey Ryder, 32, who has been coaching since the age of 18.
Linsey, who lives with partner Richard Starrs, 36, said: “We just thought it was time for a revamp and a rebrand and we are delighted with the result.
“The club is now known as Aeronauts and the members now have new training and competition leotards.
“They are all pleased with the new name and we are looking forward to the future.
“We are as busy as ever and we have about 100 members.”
Linsey, who also coaches at several schools in town, thanked Saks Hair and Beauty, in Church Street for its continued support.
Adult sessions are held every Tuesday, between 6.30pm and 8pm and it costs £21 for a five-week course.
The adult membership ranges in age from 20 upto 39.
As well as the adult classes the club, which held a Christmas Fair last weekend to raise funds for the club, also has a junior section.
The children’s classes are held every Tuesday, between 5pm and 6.30pm, every Thursday and Friday, between 5pm and 8pm and on a Saturday, between 9am and 3pm.
There is also a Come and Bounce session every Saturday between noon and 3pm, which is open to adults and children.
Those sessions cost £2.80 and you do not have to be a member to join in.
All sessions are held inside the sports hall at the school.
