BEST wishes go to Zac Healey who will find out next weekend if he has won another major honour.
Zac, 22, has been shortlisted for a Carl Allan Award, as reported in the Hartlepool Mail in August. The honour is only given to reward people who have made a significant contribution to the dance
Previous winners have included Jennifer Ellison, Roy Castle, Darcey Bussell, and Arlene Phillips.
This year’s competition will be held on Saturday, October 12, at the White Tower Restaurant Complex in the Pleasure Beach at Blackpool.
Success for Zac would complete a fantastic year.
Zac and Ruff Diamond - the dance crew that he choreographs - were runners-up in the Sky 1 competition Got To Dance.
Weeks later, they picked up a special recognition honour at this year’s Pride of Hartlepool awards.
Earlier this summer, the crew were crowned UK adult hip hop champions, and followed that up by coming 16th in the World Hip Hop Championships in Las Vegas.
And to top a great year, the crew won the Inspire trophy at this week’s Hartlepool Mail Sports Awards.
