A Special talk to stargazers

A group dedicated to stargazers will hold its monthly meeting next Friday.

The Cleveland and Darlington Astronomical Society (CaDAS) will meet at the Planetarium, in Wynyard Woodland Park, on October 12.

A short talk, Transit of Venus Special, will be given by Neil Haggath. CaDAS was formed in January 1990 after the merger of Cleveland Astronomical Society and Darlington Astronomical Society.

It meets once a month from September to June, usually on the second Friday in the month.

A spokesman said: “We are always ready to welcome new members of all ages and levels of experience, from complete novice to expert.”

Admission for members of the public is £1.50 for adults, and £1 for children.
