DRIVERS are being warned that they could face disruption during planned roadworks over the next few weeks.
The A179 roundabout, in Hartlepool, at the junction of Bamburgh Road and Merlin Way, near the Tall Ships pub, will be closed on all approaches to allow for road resurfacing overnight on August 22 and August 23, and possibly August 24.
The A689, at the roundabout with the town’s Burn Road, will also be closed overnight on August 24 for resurfacing.
Park Road, on the section near Middleton Grange Shopping Centre, will be closed overnight on August 30 to allow a crane to operate on the carriageway for work to be carried out to the shopping centre.
Meanwhile, drivers heading in and out of town on the A179 should plan ahead as carriageway realignment works are scheduled to start on the Holdforth Road roundabout on September 7 for around seven weeks.
