A ramble
in the Dene
PEOPLE have the chance to take a guided walk through the winter countryside next week.
The event, called Ramble in the Dene, is a 10-mile walk that will be led by Hartlepool Borough Council’s countryside and rights of way assistant Hannah Woodhouse.
It will follow a route along the Hart to Haswell Walkway, making its way through the magnificent limestone gorge of Nesbitt Dene and then through the Hulam farming community at Sheraton.
It is being held on Wednesday, February 15, from 9am to 3pm.
Organisers say people should wear sensible clothing and footwear not to forget to bring a packed lunch and a hot drink in a flask.
