A Hartlepool accountant completed his 16th Great North Run in under two hours.
Fifty-five-year-old running enthusiast Graeme Surtees, 55, took just one hour, 57 minutes to finish 13.1-mile half marathon
The accountant, who is a director of Walton's on the Marina, ran from Newcastle to South Shields with wife and fellow member of Hartlepool Burn Road Harriers, Carry, 53.
The dad of two teenage daughters said: "I'm very happy. I had hoped to do it inside of two hours and I did.
"I started running just to get fit and I joined a running club.
"I'm always out running and probably run four or five times a week."
