HOTEL bosses have organised an action-packed day of fun to raise money for a vital town charity.
Penalty shoot-outs, face painting, colouring and baking competitions and a whole host of stalls will all be on offer at Hartlepool Marina Premier Inn this weekend.
The event has been organised in support of Hartlepool & District Hospice and staff are now urging people to turn out in force to enjoy the fun and help to raise cash.
John Hughes, manager at the Premier Inn, said: “We are delighted to be able to support such a worthy local charity and I hope that lots of people come along and enjoy the day.
“We’ve organised a variety of fun games and activities for all the family.”
Everyone is welcome along to the event which will be held on Sunday from 11am-4pm outside the Premier Inn and The Old West Quay at Hartlepool Marina.
Janice Forbes, community fundraiser at the Wells Avenue-based hospice, said: “This promises to be a great family day out with lots of activities for people to take part in.
“On behalf of the staff and patients at the hospice, I would like to say a big thank you to the staff at the Premier Inn for choosing to raise funds for our charity.”
All of the money raised on the day will go towards maintaining the specialist palliative care services the facility offers to the communities of Hartlepool and East Durham. Meanwhile, a bumper rollover draw of the hospice’s weekly lottery was taking place today.
Everyone who bought a £1 ticket is in with a chance of winning the £4,500 rollover prize.
Hospice staff are always on the lookout for people to sign up and take part in the lottery which offers guaranteed prizes totalling £1,350 every week.
