The Great North Air Ambulance has been drafted in to help paramedics after a person suffered a medical emergency.

The North East Ambulance Service was called to an address in Marriers Point in Hartlepool at 11.45am today following a call for help.

Two ambulances and a rapid response vehicle were called to the property, with the air ambulance landing off Middleton Road so its crew could offer assistance.

One person has been taken to hospital.
