The annual event, which is organised by the Greatham in Bloom committee, attracts people from far and wide who travel to see the snowdrops.

People can enjoy this year’s walk on Sunday from 1pm-4.30pm.

The event also gives residents the chance to visit the Georgian chapel and the parish church.

Talks will also be held on the hour looking back on the history of the walk and the buildings.

Dorothy Clark, chairman of the Greatham in Bloom committee, said: “It’s looking absolutely beautiful and we are all really looking forward to Sunday.

“People come from all over to see the snowdrops and enjoy the day, it’s always very popular.”

Dorothy thanked the trustees at the Hospital of God for their kind permission in letting the event go ahead again.

Tickets, priced at £2 for adults and £1 for concessions, are available from Greatham Community Centre, in Front Street, in the village, where refreshments will also be available.
