A TEENAGE boy needed hospital treatment after being involved in a collision with a car.
Police say the 14-year-old boy was walking home from school along Westbrooke Avenue, in Hartlepool, near the junction with Southbrooke Avenue when he was involved in a collision with a car.
The driver took the boy home but then left without giving his details.
The 14-year-old was treated for swelling and grazing to the head and grazing to his right hip at the University Hospital of North Tees, in Stockton, and then discharged.
Officers say the incident took place last Wednesday, January 11, at 3.30pm.
The driver is asked to contact PC Mark Cubitt of the roads policing unit on (01642) 326326, quoting Event V5930.
Any witnesses or other people with information are also asked to call police.
