Appeal after car crash and fire

POLICE are investigating after a car appears to have hit a college fence before being set on fire.

A crew from Stranton Fire Station was called to Musgrave Walk, off Huckelhoven Way, in Hartlepool, where a silver Renault Clio was alight.

Inspector Bernie Hanson, of Hartlepool Police, said: “A neighbour saw two males near the vehicle run off.

“Damage was caused to a perimeter fence at the new Hartlepool College of Further Education consistent with being hit by the vehicle.”
