PRIZE donations are being sought to boost a charity night in aid of a creative charity.
A fundraising event is set to be held at Ye Olde Durhams Club, in St Aidan’s Street, Hartlepool, on Tuesday, July 12, in aid of Red Dreams.
The Whitby Street South-based charity helps youngsters develop creative skills in areas such as singing, creative writing and performing.
The charity was set up by Hartlepool couple Dawn and Ian McManus in memory of their artistic son Kyle, who died suddenly from a brain haemorrhage aged just 16.
Even though the event is still months away, organisers are seeking prizes for raffles on the evening or to put on a tombola stall.
Organiser Denise Murphy said: “All proceeds of the event are going directly to the Red Dreams charity in order for them to continue with their fantastic work for the young people of the area.”
A wide-range of entertainment is said to be lined up for the night itself, which starts at 8pm, including singers from the charity, comedy mime acts, a drag artist, karaoke and bingo.
Tickets are now on sale at £2 each.
