KEEN volunteers are being asked to take up unpaid work in the Hartlepool area.
Jobs ranging from kitchen assistants to advice workers, and receptionists to fundraisers are all on offer.
Details are available from the Volunteer Centre at the Hartlepool Voluntary Development Agency which highlights all available jobs in the community.
Posts on offer currently include a kitchen assistant who is needed to help run a cafe and luncheon club . Experience is preferred, but not essential.
A local community project needs volunteers for a scheme to work with young people aged between 10 and 25 who have a history of behavioural problems.
Interested people will get to do work in areas including administration, youth work, animals, gardening and conservation and fundraising.
Help is also needed at a group which offers advice on topics such as debt, insurances and bereavement. Full training will be given which will lead to an accreditation certificate.
A third post on offer is for a receptionist in a busy community centre, and volunteers are also needed to help at a youth club on a Tuesday, Thursday and Friday evening from 6.30pm to 9pm.
Those interested will get to work with young people aged 13 to 19 and experience is preferred, but not essential.
Painters and decorators are also needed to help with a regeneration project. Volunteers will be needed for two to three weeks to paint internal walls and ceilings.
