Appeal for witnesses to a quad bike smash in Hartlepool

Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision in which a 20-year-old man was injured in the town.

The incident happened on Bruce Crescent at around 7.30pm yesterday evening, Wednesday, June 15.

The man, from Hartlepool, who was driving an off-road bike, was left with a broken leg, broken arm and a cut to his head after the bike left the road and collided with a wall and a lamp post.

He was taken to James Cook University Hospital for treatment.

Any witnesses to the incident are asked to contact PC Leslie Thompson from the Cleveland and Durham Specialist Operations Unit on the non-emergency number 101, quoting event number 106608.
