A BUS company has today confirmed it will no longer use Hartlepool’s £4m transport interchange from the start of next week.
As part of a package of changes to services by operator Arriva North East coming into force this Sunday, it has confirmed its buses will no longer be using the Church Square site.
Bosses say passengers have asked for their buses to serve Hartlepool Marina instead.
It follows Stagecoach North East saying last year that they would not be adding more services to those using the interchange, which was unveiled in 2010.
An Arriva North East spokeswoman said today: “We will no longer use Hartlepool Interchange following requests from customers for all of our buses to serve the marina, which gives better access to leisure facilities and the Asda supermarket.”
