TOURISM chiefs say there has never been a better time to visit a popular attraction after bosses launched a new ticket offer.
For just £10 per adult, £8.25 per concession and £30 for a family ticket, people can now visit Hartlepool’s Maritime Experience (HME), off Maritime Avenue, up to five times within 12 months and pay only once.
The offer means people can enjoy a day out at the HME for as little as £1.20 per person, based on the family ticket of two adults and up to three children.
HME is a re-creation of an 18th Century seaport which brings to life the time of Nelson, Napoleon and the Battle of Trafalgar.
There are regular displays of musketry, cannon firing and sword fighting at HME which is also home to HMS Trincomalee – the oldest British warship still afloat and the Museum of Hartlepool.
Claire Munroe, from the council’s cultural services section, said: “Hartlepool’s Maritime Experience is second-to-none for a great family day out.
“At a time when people need to watch the pennies, our new “Visit Five Times And Pay Only Once” offer means the price is unbeatable too.”
David McKnight, general manager of HMS Trincomalee, added: “This fantastic offer means that you don’t need to rush your visit.
“If you don’t fit it all in or want to come back for a few more hours to do again the things you enjoyed the most, you can – and it won’t cost you any more money.”
