DANCE sessions for groovy children have been voted a massive hit in Hartlepool.
And the series of four dance sessions for tots has proved so popular that a whole autumn programme of them has now been lined up.
Children by the hundreds turned up for the Groovy Baby events which have been held once a month at the Town Hall Theatre, in Raby Road, Hartlepool. They are for children aged up to five and are run by street dance company Urban Kaos.
The last of the four sessions will be held between 1pm and 3pm tomorrow.
Tickets cost £5 per child per session and parents can come along for free.
The series then comes to a close but there is great news for all those involved as they will be back in the autumn with a four-month run planned from Saturday, September 29.
Sessions will then run on the Saturdays of October 27, November 24, and December 15 when a Christmas speciall will be held from 1pm.
Hartlepool Borough Council events and visitor service manager Michelle Daurat said: “Groovy Babies has been a fantastic success and given mums, dads, babies and toddlers the opportunity to enjoy the magic of movement together in an exciting, fun -packed two hours.
“We look forward to the new season starting in September and welcome you and your little one to take part in this fabulously funky early years dance event.”
All the sessions are held for children aged up to five and the attractions include non stop music, lightings, a glitter ball, and bubbles.
Tickets for the autumn series will cost £5 per baby and £1.50 for adults.
Tickets are available from Hartlepool Art Gallery and Tourist Information Centre, in Church Square, Hartlepool.
