ONLY a few days remain for people to snap up a raffle ticket and give themselves the chance of winning £500 worth of tattooing.
Kind-hearted award-winning tattoo artist Paul Egan, who owns Wishful Inkin, in Murray Street, offered the fantastic prize in support of the popular town music venue The Studio.
The future looked grim for the venue, in Tower Street, when Hartlepool College of Further Education and Cleveland College of Art and Design withdrew their support earlier this year, and the building went up for sale.
But trustees have refused to be beaten and are now on a fundraising campaign to raise £5,000 by the end of the year to insure the building so it can continue as a music venue.
Paul, a dad-of-four, described The Studio as a “fantastic venue” and wanted to show his support.
Tickets have been on sale at Wishful Inkin and at the Park Inn, in Park Road, and have been selling well.
Paul, who’s married to Elaine and lives in the town’s Haswell Avenue, said: “The response has been really good but we want to give a final reminder to let people know they can still buy a ticket.
“They’re only £1 and it’s a chance to win £500 worth of tattooing.”
Phil Swinburne, chairman of The Studio’s trustees, said: “We have got a new wave of positivity flying through The Studio at the minute and Paul’s support has certainly helped.”
The draw will be made next Monday, October 14.
