WHAT a response!
More than 100 nominations have now been received for the Hartlepool Mail Best of Health awards.
It has only been a month since we first launched the competition to find the unsung heroes in our health service.
But there has already been 170 entry forms filled in by people wanting to put forward their favourites, with some local health heroes put forward numerous times.
But if you still haven’t nominated that doctor, nurse, dentist or midwife that you fill deserves some praise, don’t worry.
Although there is less than a week to go until the deadline, there’s still time to get that entry in.
We’ve had a particularly impressive response in the categories of GP of the year, GP Practice of the year, Nurse of the year, Team of the year, and Receptionist of the year.
But we want more, especially for optometrists, pharmacists, students and apprentices, midwives and those who have given impressive long-term service.
Every nominated cause will be given careful consideration before the shortlists are drawn up.
In the meantime, why not make our job even harder by putting forward your own favourite.
