THE magic of the movies is being brought back to life in a series of film events organised by council chiefs.
Hartlepool Borough Council holds a series of events called Matinee Monday at the Town Hall Theatre, in Raby Road, that are aimed at giving people a chance to enjoy classic films from yesteryears.
The next showing is going to be High Society, which starts at 2pm on Monday, May 6.
The story revolves around the wedding plans of socialite Tracy Lord, played by Grace Kelly.
But, as with all the best Hollywood movies, there are lots of twists in the film, which also includes starring roles for old blues yes himself, Frank Sinatra, along with Celeste Holm and Bing Crosby.
Tickets for all the movies shown in the series are £1 each.
