BIG screen entertainment is coming to Hartlepool - but this is movie-fun on a mini scale.
The audience for the town’s newest cinema attraction will be children aged up to five.
And don’t worry about keeping them, quiet throughout the show as organisers say it’s no problem if they scream, shout and run around.
The newest attraction on Hartlepool’s events calendar is called Cinema Bambino and it is coming to the Town Hall Theatre from next month.
Hartlepool Borough Council events and visitor service manager Michelle Daurat said: “This is a concept that other theatres and cinemas do across the country.
“We have built up a good audience for activities for younger age people such as Groovy Baby and we thought this would work in the theatre.
“Whenever we have had events at the Historic Quay such as Spoo-Quay, the feedback we often get is that there is not enough to do for little ones.”
Get ready for classics such as Jungle Book, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
The Saturday afternoon fun starts on August 5 with Jungle Book and will continue once a month until Christmas.
The cost is £5 per child and £1.50 for each adult.
The full programme is Jungle Book on August 5, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang on September 1, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory on October 6, a film to be confirmed on November 3, and a Christmas special to be confirmed on December 8.
Tickets are available from Hartlepool Art Gallery and Tourist Information Centre, Church Square, Hartlepool.
It is open between 10am and 4.30pm from Tuesday to Saturday, and closed on Sundays and Mondays.
