Bikers rev up £600

A GENEROUS group of motorcyclists have raised £600 for a special children’s school.

The Misfits Motorcyle Group visited students in Class 9 at Catcote School, in Catcote Road, in Hartlepool, to deliver the cash bonus.

The kind-hearted group, which includes members from Hartlepool, has been raising cash for the students for 20 years and visit once a year to present a cheque.

Teacher Wendy Wharton said: “The students really enjoy the visits from these very special friends.

“The bikers have raised an astonishing amount of money over the years that has provided the students with many gifts ranging from lighting equipment to DVDs.

“The staff and students in class 9 have invited the bikers to a thank you party in their sensory garden in the summer.”
