AN Indian restaurant hopes to spice up a fundraising drive with its own Bollywood evening.

Spices Restaurant, on Navigation Point, Hartlepool, is hosting its own themed evening to raise money for the Hartlepool and District Hospice.

Guests can enjoy a menu, specially selected for the night, and can also take part in raffles and a quiz at the event, which is taking place on Wednesday, April 6, from 7pm.

Live entertainment will also be on offer throughout the course of the evening.

Greg Hildreth, events and community facilitator at the hospice, said: “This promises to be a very successful evening.

“With the support of staff at Spices Restaurant and live entertainment from Stagecoach Theatre Arts, Bollywood really will be visiting Hartlepool for the night.”

Hospice chief executive Tracy Woodall added: “It is the support of businesses like Spices which allow the hospice to host such events and provide vital links to our community.

“Money raised from such events allow the hospice to continue to provide its wide range of specialist services to patients and their families living with life limiting illnesses, all at no cost to the people we help.”

Tickets for the evening are priced at £20 per person.
