PRIMARY school children got the chance to spend the afternoon with two Hartlepool United footballers.
Colin Nish and Gary Liddle made the trip to Hart Primary School, in Hart Village, to meet the youngsters and help to launch a new initiative.
Ten pupils from the primary school took part in a recent football course organised by the Hartlepool Community Sports Foundation.
Another course is taking place next week at High Tunstall College of Science, in Elwick Road, Hartlepool, and people can use a new website to book their place.
The course will run from Monday until Friday, October 28, from 10am-3pm each day.
It will cost £25 for the week or £5 each day.
People can book a place by visiting www.officialsoccerschools.co.uk/hartlepoolunited.
The new website has been launched by Hartlepool United CSF in partnership with the Football League and was designed to make it easier for parents to find and book holiday and term-time sports activities.
Hartlepool United CSF is one of just 17 clubs throughout the country taking part in the pilot of the new website.
Pools midfielder Andy Monkhouse said: “Hartlepool United Community Sports Foundation holiday soccer courses are great value for money where children have the chance to learn new skills and play fun games in a safe, secure environment.”
