A TRAIN operator is urging travellers to book early for discount fares to join crowds of well-wishers at the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
The couple will marry on Friday, April 29, and the big day has been declared a bank holiday.
Train firm East Coast is expecting strong demand for its cheapest advance tickets, which went on sale this week.
East Coast commercial director, Peter Williams, said: “The royal wedding promises to be an unforgettable day out in London.
“The celebrations will of course be shown worldwide on television, but there’s no substitute for being there.”
Standard advance returns to London, booked via the East Coast website start from Newcastle or Darlington for £27, and York or Leeds for £26.
