POLICE had become concerned about an 11-year-old boy after he did not return home for more than 16 hours.

Officers appealed for witnesses after Cameron Stewart was reported missing from his home in the Dyke House area of town.

He has since turned up safe and well.

Cameron had last been seen leaving his home at around 5pm on Saturday with his cousin.

It is believed he may have been going camping to Summerhill.

A Cleveland Police spokeswoman said: “His family say it is out of character for him to go missing.”
