Boy airlifted to hospital

A CHILD was airlifted to hospital after suffering a suspected fit.

Ambulance paramedics were called to the young boy’s aid by his father at 4.18pm yesterday.

The youngster is thought to have suffered a fit while at Summerhill Country Park, off Catcote Road, in Hartlepool.

The crew arrived at the popular park within five minutes and then contacted the Great North Air Ambulance for help.

The child was flown to the James Cook University Hospital, in Middlesbrough, at around 4.45pm.

The age of the child is not yet known, although he is believed to be four or younger.

His condition is also unknown.
