A SCHEME to create more social housing for Hartlepool has almost been completed.

The £1.7m Throston Grange project to develop 22 two and three bedroomed houses has been carried out by Gus Robinson Developments who were appointed by the Vela Group.

The project is now in its final stages and is due to be completed next month.

The development, named Pillowwell, includes nine properties for shared ownership and 13 for rental.

Up to 60 people were employed while the development, which started at Christmas, was built and Gus Robinson Developments also took on two apprentices as part of its commitment to supporting young skilled workers.
