LONG-TIME pals Jasmin Beckett and Abbie Rowbotham talked of setting up their own studio for months.

And now, the two 22-year-olds have realised their dream after launching Chique Physigue in a unit in Cromwell Street in Hartlepool.

The business is a boutique-themed fitness and dance studio offering classes such as piloxing (a mix of boxing, dance and pilates), aerial hoops, fit steps, boogie bounce on trampoline and burlex fitness (sessions with a burlesque twist).

There will also be classes called Xpert Pole Fitness, Jazzy Abs, Spin it Chique, and Chique Circuit as well as sessions for children.

They include a kids trampoline club, ballet, tap, singing, musical theatre, and street and commercial dance.

Jasmin, from the Burn Valley area of Hartlepool, has known Abbie, from the Fens area, since they were both students at Manor College of Technology.

Both of them went on to Middlesbrough College where they achieved a Btec National Diploma in Performing Arts. And both went to study at Phil Winston’s Theatreworks stage school academy in Blackpool.

Now they are business partners and Jasmin said: “We have been friends for 11 years and it has always been a dream of ours and we have achieved it in our home town Hartlepool.

“We are both overwhelmed with the support and custom we have received so far.”

But as well as dance and fitness, Chique Physique will also be offering parties such as birthdays, hen parties and childrens’ dance parties which can have themes such as princess.

Jasmin added: “Once we have gained our clientele, we will then move onto expanding the business by offering a different type of service on top of what we already offer.”

She said the company hopes to employ staff, become a performing arts agency, and “look to have serval buildings in the UK which offer a variety of unique classes for all ages.”
