THEY were sisters who had a dream.

And now, entrepreneurs Kelly and Kirsty Rumble have seen it come true by going into business together.

The two girls from Hartlepool have opened a joint venture which combines hairdressing and fashion under one roof.

Kelly, 33, and Kirsty, 21, welcomed customers for the first time earlier this month to their new premises which is called Diamond Dolls Boutique and Salon, and is based in Park Road, Hartlepool.

Hairdresser Kirsty told Business Update: “It has always been our dream to have our own shop. We both trained in beauty.”

Kelly runs the boutique side of the business and said: “We did it because we wanted to bring a bit of glamour to Hartlepool.

“We wanted to provide a place where girls can get everything under one roof.”

Kirsty completed apprenticeship training in hairdressing while Kelly ran an online fashion boutique from home.

But now, they have teamed their skills to a shop with a clothes boutique at the front of the shop and the hairdressing salon further back.

There is room for a beauty section as well and that well be on the cards in the future thanks to the ambitious sisters who have high hopes for expansion.

Kirsty said: “We looked at about six or seven businesses before deciding that this was the best of them all. It is big enough to do everything.

“In the future, we hope to do mens clothing and children’s clothing.”

Kelly and Kirsty have two other sisters - Vicky, 28, and Kimberley, 24 - and they hail from Hartlepool.

Kelly added: “Our future plans are to branch out in to mens and childrens clothing.

“We want to go as far as we can but we are over the moon with what we have got so far.”
