BUSINESS bosses got a chance to listen to advice on contracts and customers at the latest meeting of a networking group.

The February meeting of the Hartlepool Business Forum was held at Hartlepool College of Further Education where speakers included Graham Frankland of Hartlepool Borough Council, and Janice Martin of N.E. Procurement NHS.

Delegates heard that, every year, millions of pounds are spent on a wide range of goods and services. Local businesses are being encouraged to look at whether they are in a position to supply them.

Council representatives explained to the delegates how they could tender for contracts.

The next meeting of the forum will be held on Thursday, March 21, when the theme is social media.

The speakers will be Pam Hargreaves from Xivvi Ltd and Samantha Lee from Publicity Seekers. It will be held from 5.15pm at Hartlepool College of Further Education.

There will also be a chance to network with other delegates who turn up for the meeting.

The event starts with a buffet and continues at 6pm with the speeches.

For more information, contact forum co-ordinator John Megson via Hartlepool Enterprise Centre in Brougham Terrace, Hartlepool, TS24 8EY, tel (01429) 867677, fax (01429) 264304 or email john.megson5@ntlworld.com.
