A BUSINESS is celebrating a reaching a production milestone.

Huntsman Pigments is celebrating 80 years since the production of its first ton of titanium dioxide pigment, made at its Billingham facility in the UK in July 1934.

“It’s a fantastic achievement in a highly competitive global industry,” said Simon Turner, president of Huntsman Pigments.

“Our business is built on the expertise, dedication and teamwork of thousands of people who have worked and continue to work for us and I’d like to thank them for their hard work and commitment. We have a range of activities planned to celebrate this milestone.”

“We’ve faced many challenges over the years,” says Simon. “We’re successful because we embrace change. We’re constantly learning and innovating to transform the business. Our 80th year is an exciting time for us. We’re poised for growth as we continue with the process to acquire the Rockwood Pigments and the Sachtleben businesses.”
