A FLOURISHING physiotherapy firm is pulling in punters from as far as London after investing nearly £15,000 in new technology.

Paul Gough Physio Rooms, in Raby in Hartlepool, has splashed out on a laser foot scanner which helps protect vital joints, finds painless methods of exercise, and lowers the risk of early onset arthritis.

The scanner gives an accurate description of foot orthotics, which is used to modify the neuromuscular and skeletal system.

Company owner Paul Gough said people in their 40s, 50s and 60s who love to walk, play golf and run are most likely to benefit and most likely to want to protect vital knee, ankle and lower back joints.

He said investing in the equipment was the best way to make clients happy.

Paul said clients have travelled up from London and one runner had come from Chesterfield after hearing about the service.
