A student is in the money after winning a treasure hunt competition to mark the 10th anniversary of a marketing agency.
M Media & Design put on a treasure hunt in Hartlepool.
The prize for winning the competition was £500 with another £500 donated to Hartlepool & District Hospice.
The agency posted a series of video clues leading to the secret destination.
It was student Jordan Thornhill who put his detective skills to the test and found the prize in Ward Jackson Park.
Jordan, studying for a Masters in public relations at Teesside University, said: “I followed the campaign from the first day, trying to piece together the clues.”
He said he “had a feeling the prize was in the park” and spent a few hours searching for it with the help of his uncle.
Greg Hildreth, corporate events and social media manager at the hospice, said: “This is a very generous way for MM&D to celebrate their 10th anniversary.
“We are absolutely delighted with such a kind donation, which will now be used to fund the care services we provide free of charge to our patients and their families.”
Mark Skirving, director at MM&D, said: “There has been lots of interaction on social media, with over 20,000 people viewing the campaign, and it really captured the imagination of the local community.”
