BUSINESSES got into the Christmas spirit at an enterprise centre’s festive fair.
Carol singing, mince pies and Santa Claus were there for the Hartlepool Enterprise Centre fair which started yesterday and continues from 10am to 4pm today.
Visitors got a chance to grab Christmas bargains such as ladies clothing and beauty products.
Centre manager Andrea Miles said: “This is something we look forward to holding every year.”
Businesses taking part included Floral Whispers, Michelle’s Cakes, Trading Treasures, Altered Images, Purple Pot Company, North East Die Cast Models, Allergies Made Easy, Cosy Crafts and Wall Chimp.
Children from Brougham School helped spread some Christmas cheer by singing carols and showing off their creative Christmas cards which they made for a competition sponsored by the Enterprise Centre, with a theme of ‘what I love most about Christmas’.
Andrea praised the children for providing “a perfect festive backdrop with their brilliant singing, they also give visitors a chance to see their creative talents.”
Other attractions included tombolas and prize draws with prizes including a £50 Marks and Spencer voucher, a 90-minute photo shoot and gift baskets donated by businesses based at the Enterprise Centre.
All proceeds from the tombola and prize draws went to the Mayor’s chosen charities Pansies Breast Cancer Support, Macmillan Cancer Support and Denise Taylor Trust.
