STRAWBERRIES and cream are on the agenda at a business seminar next week.
The latest meeting of the Hartlepool-based Women What Do network will be held on Thursday, June 27 in Cafe One77, in York Road.
Hartlepool Mail editor Joy Yates will be the guest speaker at the event which starts at 5.30pm. A spokesman for Women What Do said: “Come and enjoy this with a glass of fizz and a few strawberries in celebration of a British win at Wimbledon.”
Firms are being urged to come along and talk about their business.
The spokesman added: “Getting your business noticed is one of the things we all struggle with - knowing what to say, when to say it and, most importantly, how to say it.
“This is one time when we’re asking people to come and actively talk about what they do, to other like-minded businesswomen.”
Delegates can bring a business card, a business “buddy” and any promotional literature to share with the room.
The cost of taking part is £5 for members and £10 for non-members which is payable on the door.
Women What Do is a chance for females to meet in an informal atmosphere and share ideas over wine and nibbles.
It is open to women who:
l Own or manage a business;
l Are self-employed or freelance;
l Work in their family business;
l Are managers in voluntary sector organisations including charities and social enterprises;
l Work within the public sector but who have an interest in economic development and/or business issues;
l Are thinking about setting up a business or are in the process of setting up a business.
