A UK food manufacturer has recalled batches of its bread products due to allergy concerns.

Boulder Brands UK Ltd has issued the recall of Udi's seeded products because their sunflower seed ingredient may be contaminated with sesame seeds

This ingredient is not mentioned on the product labels of Udi’s Multi Seeded Bagels, Multiseed Bread and Multi Seeded Rolls, meaning the products are a possible health risk for anyone with a sesame allergy.

The potentially affected products are:

* Udi’s Multi Seeded Bagels (350g) with Best Before date of 22 February 2016 or earlier;

* Udi’s Multi Seeded Bread (450g), Best Before date of 22 February 2016 or earlier;

* Udi’s Multiseeded Rolls (300g) with Best Before date of 22 February 2016 or earlier.

The company said in a statement: “If you have bought any of the above products and have an allergy to sesame, do not eat it.

"Instead, return it the store from where you bought it for a refund.”
