AN entrepreneur is hoping to hit the bullseye with his plans to bring celebrity nights to Hartlepool.
Brian Smith, 31, from the Owton Manor area, works as a compliance executive as his main job, in the field of auditing.
But he has also set up his own business called Top Flight Entertainment which hopes to attract celebrities to town to star at charity nights.
Brian, who is Hartlepool born and bred, has already organised his first function which featured darts star Bob Anderson.
Brian told Business Mail: “It raised £400 and the feedback I got was phenomenal. People were asking me when I was going to hold the next one.”
He said he was already in talks to try to hold a Legends of Darts night in Hartlepool. Brian, the managing director of Top Flight Entertainment, said: “The main thing I am focusing on is bringing celebrities to the town.”
He said he was also hoping to organise after-dinner speaking events and to help companies to stage their own awards evenings.
He added: “There are a lot of businesses that want to arrange these events but they don’t have the opportunity to do it.”
He said he had contacts in sporting fields such as darts, football and boxing to help him line up celebrities for events in Hartlepool.
Brian also told of his hopes for the future. “I would love to expand this and develop it into a full-time business but that will be dependent on companies approaching me to hold events for them,” he said
