A retail area of Hartlepool has welcomed its newest tenant.
The arrival of Claire Ellwood, and her business called The Room, has taken the occupancy rate at Navigation Point to 100 per cent.

Claire’s business is a hair salon with tanning beds and she operates it herself. Claire, 40, added: “We are looking for a beautician as well.”
Easington-born Claire now lives in Hartlepool and previously worked as a mobile hairdresser. She also used to be based at the Springs venue on Hartlepool Marina and managed a salon there for seven years.
But now she has moved to Navigation Point and explained why she had taken the decision to move there. “There is not a salon along here and it is a nice area,” said Claire.
She added: “I have moved into a great area and I just want to grow the business. I am excited to have it up and running.”
Navigation Point’s success has delighted bosses at its owners, the Mandale Group.
Estates Director Joe Darragh said: “We are over the moon. We have now bars and all different types of units. They all look really good and really trendy and it complements it all.”
He said one of the reasons for the success was the decision to split up larger units and make them into smaller ones.
“The vibe is back down there and it is starting to get busier. People are starting to spend a little bit more.”
Navigation Point now has 27 businesses, and Mr Darragh added: “We are delighted with the way things are going down there.”
