THE final countdown has started in the Hartlepool Mail search for entrants to a competition for entrepreneurs.
There’s now just one week left for people to enter the Mail-backed If we can, you can challenge which aims to reward the best in rising business talent.
The challenge is open to any individual who is thinking of starting up a business or looking to grow their existing firm.
All we ask is that they share their story and add themselves to a growing online community of entrepreneurs at www.ifwecanyoucan.co.uk.
To date, 955 members have become part of that community which means that business people have a way of exchanging views and ideas – and that way helps to promote the region’s shared entrepreneurial drive.
Entrants have until midnight on Sunday, May 8 to register their entries.
Competitors from our area so far have included Kris Middleton, 23, from the Belle Vue area of Hartlepool, who entered his business The Legend of Skippy, a multimedia company offering website development, applications, games, videos and animations.
Also in the running is Ian Griffiths, 45, who is setting up an advertising agency, Bright Ideas, at the Hartlepool Enterprise Centre.
His business uses unique and unusual advertising techniques including using air dancers, bicycle trailer ads, shutter ads, 3D advertising and eye catching aerial display units. The If we can, you can campaign is driven by the Entrepreneurs’ Forum and funded by One North East.
