A NETWORKING organisation for women is appealing for more people to join its ever-growing ranks.
The Women What Do group is based in Hartlepool and has flourished since it its fledgling days in 2011.
A pilot meeting in the summer of that year attracted 12 women keen to find out if a group exclusively for females would gather pace.
It did in style and now its founder Pam Hargreaves believes there are more women out there who could benefit from joining the movement.
And she encouraged people within small businesses in particular to come forward and join like-minded professionals for a chance to chat, network and potentially do business.
She said: “We want women to come and join the network and get involved in our events.”
The opportunity also extends to people who would like to be part of the steering group.
Pam added: “We have 150 people on the Women What Do database but we would love to welcome more.
“Every time we have a networking event, we find that new members come and join us but this is a shout-out for more people to do the same.”
Women What Do provides an informal place for women involved in business to meet each other, discuss common issues, share ideas and build up a local network of support and contacts.
It first held a meeting at The Place in The Park, in Ward Jackson Park, Hartlepool, in the summer of 2011 and attracted 20 people.
But numbers have grown since then and the search is on for more.
Its events are designed to be informative, friendly and informal.
