A DETERMINED duo have taken the plunge and launched their first business venture.
Joe Ingham, 40, and Aaron Norris, 22, have put their combined 30 years experience to good use by opening a garage called Fix ‘N’ Go, in Green Street, Hartlepool.
The ambitious pair are hoping expansion could be on the cards if everything goes to plan.
Father-of-three Joe said: “We already offer a diagnostics, servicing and repairs and we can get MoTs done, but we would like to get an MoT licence ourselves.”
Joe, who has 24 years of experience in the motor trade and Aaron, with six years behind him, sought help from Hartlepool Enterprise Centre, in Brougham Terrace and Joe admitted: “They have done a lot for us.
“It was a mixture of excitement and nerves to go into business for the first time but it is something I have thought about it for a few years now. It was a case of getting up the courage to give it a go.”
But Joe, who is married to Susan, 43, and has three children, Michael, 17, Chloe, 11 and Keeley, four, is glad he did.
He said: “We know the job. It is just a case of getting going on your own.”
Aaron is also making plans for his wedding to Amy Lee Hornsey, 20, at the Staincliffe Hotel in October. He said: “It is a busy time for me at the moment.”
